CSS Reference & Best Practices
Complete reference for custom CSS on a Rendezvous event page — every theme variable, the section classes you can target, and copy-paste recipes that just work.
Where to start
Want to push your event page beyond what the color and font controls offer? Custom CSS lets you do exactly that. This page is your reference: the variables you can override, the classes you can target, and a few ready-made recipes you can paste in and tweak.
You'll write CSS in two places inside the page builder — both live in the Customize panel:
- Custom CSS — opens when you select a section. Styles here only affect that one section.
- Global CSS — with no section selected, in the panel's Advanced group. Styles here affect the whole page.
Think of it as three layers, from gentle to powerful:
- Design tokens — recolor or restyle the page by overriding a few CSS variables.
- Section classes — fine-tune one part of a section with its BEM class.
- Global overrides — set page-wide rules for headings, text, and layout.
Theme variables (design tokens)
Your active theme sets these CSS custom properties. Override any of them — in Global CSS for the whole page, or in a section's Custom CSS for just that section — and everything that uses them updates at once.
The defaults below come from the base theme. Each styled theme ships its own values, so treat these as a starting point rather than fixed numbers.
Colors
| Variable | Base default | What it controls |
