Whether you're hosting a wedding or you were invited to a friend's birthday, you have a single Rendezvous account that follows you across every event you host and every event you attend. Your profile, your sign-in options, and your notification choices all live in one place and apply everywhere — you never set them up per event.
This page covers the four things you control from your account: your profile picture, your notification preferences, your sign-in and contact methods, and how to unsubscribe or delete your account.
Your picture is how you appear to hosts and other guests — beside your posts in the guest feed, on your comments and reactions, in guest lists, and on a host's co-planner roster. It lives in Settings → Account, in the Profile picture card at the top.
Select Upload photo and pick a JPEG, PNG, or WebP. A crop window opens so you can frame it in the circle before it's saved — no need to prepare a square beforehand.
The picture is applied as soon as you finish cropping. The avatar in the header updates to match right away.
The same card then reads Replace photo, with a bin icon beside it to clear the picture entirely. Removing it puts you back to your initials.
Open Settings → Notifications. Here you decide which updates you want and where they land — a simple grid of notification types, each with its own toggles. Everything is on by default, so you only ever need to turn things off.
The notifications split into two groups, because your account is both a guest account and a host account:
These are the updates about events you've been invited to or are attending:
| Update | When you'd hear about it |
|---|---|
| Event invitations | You've been invited to an event |
| Event updates | A host changed the date, time, or location of an event you're attending |
| Event broadcasts | A host sent an announcement to their guests |
| Reply to your post | Someone replied to something you posted in the guest feed |
| Contact requested | A host asked for a contact detail (like your phone or address) |
| RSVP confirmation | A receipt for your reply — or a note that it's waitlisted or pending |
These are the updates about events you're organizing:
| Update | When you'd hear about it |
|---|---|
| A guest was added | Someone joined or was added to your guest list |
| An RSVP changed | A guest responded or updated their answer — or joined the waitlist, or is awaiting your approval |
| New discussion post | A guest posted in your event's feed |
| Contact request approved | A guest you asked shared the detail you requested |
For each row, flip the channel you want: In-app (the activity that shows up where you manage the app) and Email. Toggle a switch off and that kind of update simply stops reaching you on that channel — everywhere, across all your events at once.
The switches above are account-wide. When you're only trying to turn down one event, you don't have to come here at all: every event page carries the Guest Companion — a small button in the corner — and its Notifications option opens a panel right there on the page.
It's split into two labelled groups, because two different things are being set:
| Group | What's in it |
|---|---|
| This event | Replies to your posts — whether you hear about answers to what you wrote in this event's feed |
| Every event you're a guest at | Email and Text messages — the channels announcements and changes reach you on |
The second group is honest about its reach: those two follow your account, so switching email off here switches it off wherever you're a guest — the same setting as Settings → Notifications, just reachable without leaving the party.
Under Settings → Account you manage how you get into Rendezvous and the contact details tied to your identity.
You can sign in with an email one-time code, or by continuing with Google or continuing with Facebook — no password to remember. The Account tab shows which providers are linked to you and lets you see them at a glance. Linking a provider just means a faster, one-tap sign-in next time; your account is the same account either way.
Your primary email is your main identity on Rendezvous, and you can verify it from here with a quick code. You can also add a phone number and verify it the same way.
You can keep additional verified emails and phone numbers too — handy if a host invited you under a different address than the one you usually sign in with. Add one with Add email or Add phone: we send a 6-digit code to confirm it's really yours, and once verified it's attached to your account. You can promote any of them to be your primary, or remove them anytime.
Every event email we send carries an unsubscribe link in its footer. Tapping it takes you to a confirm page where a single button stops event emails to your address, for every event and not only that invitation — no sign-in required. It's built for guests who were emailed but never created an account, so they're never stuck.
A couple of details worth knowing:
At the bottom of Settings → Account is the Danger Zone. Choose Delete Account, request a verification code, then enter it and choose Delete My Account. This final step permanently removes your sign-in account and signs you out. You can cancel before confirming; there is no recovery window afterward.
