A guest can't access my event

A guest sees an error or a 'not on the list' message when they open your event page. Here's how to find the cause and get them in — fast.
We know how stressful this is — especially when your event is days (or hours) away and a guest just texted you "it says I'm not invited?!" Take a breath. This is almost always a quick fix, and you can sort it out in a couple of minutes from your dashboard.
A guest clicks your event link but can't see the event page. They might see a "not on the list" message, a sign-in screen they can't seem to get past, an "event is full" notice, or a generic error page.
It helps to know what happens behind the scenes. A guest gets in one of two ways: by tapping the personal link you sent them, or by opening your event page and confirming who they are — typing their email or phone number and entering the one-time code we send. (The full picture is in How guests get in.) Once confirmed, we check whether that email or phone matches someone on your guest list:
So when a guest "can't get in," it almost always comes down to one of the causes below.
If your event's visibility is set to Private (in Manage > Event Details), only people on your guest list can see the full page. Other visitors can use Request to join only when Allow requests to join is enabled under Event Details > RSVP Behavior and saved. Otherwise, add them directly or ask them to try the email you invited. They are never let in automatically.
Go to Manage > Guest List for the event in question.
Check whether the guest's name, email, or phone appears in your list. If they're not there, that's why they're stuck.
Select Add guest, enter their name and the email they'll sign in with — and, if you have it, their phone number too, since a guest can also get in by confirming their phone. Save, and they can now sign in and reach the page. Or copy their personal link and send it to them — one tap and they're in.
This is the most common — and most confusing — access issue. Here's what happens:
You add a guest with the email guest@gmail.com. But when they open your link, they sign in with guest@outlook.com. We can't match them to their invite because the emails don't line up, so to the system they look like a stranger.
The quickest way to know is to ask. People often have several inboxes, and their browser may auto-sign-in with whichever one is active.
Open Manage > Guest List, find their invite, and check the address you entered. If it doesn't match the one they used, that's the problem.
In Manage > Guest List, add (or update) the guest with the exact email they're signing in with. As soon as their verified email matches a guest on your list, they're in.
If they still have access to the email you originally invited, ask them to sign out and sign back in using that address. That instantly matches their invite.
A draft event is visible only to you and your co-planners. Guests can't reach it until you publish.
Open the event in Manage. The status pill in the header reads Draft while the event's visibility is set to Draft, and Live once it's published.
Go to Manage > Event Details and switch the event from Draft to live. Your page is now published and your guests can reach it.
Public events have a guest limit based on your plan. Once you reach it, new visitors who aren't already on your list see a "This event is full — Request to join" screen instead of the RSVP form.
Open Manage > Guest List. The header shows how many guests you have versus your plan's cap. (Remember that plus-ones count toward this number too.)
Remove any guests who declined or were added by mistake, or add more headroom with a guest extension pack (+100 guests). You'll find this under More > Event settings > Plan. See Add more guests to your plan for details.
Make sure the guest is using a current, correct link. A few common slip-ups:
my-weding.rendez.us instead of my-wedding.rendez.us)/i/... link in their invitation) that's been revokedOpen Manage and use View live page in the sidebar footer to confirm the correct address, then resend that exact link. See Share your event for more ways to send invites.
If you connected a custom domain (a Premium feature), DNS changes take time to spread across the internet — usually 15 to 30 minutes, occasionally up to 48 hours.
Ask the guest to try your event at your-event.rendez.us (the default
address). If that works, the issue is your custom domain's setup, not access.
Give it 30 minutes and try again. If it's still not loading after an hour, see Custom domain isn't working for step-by-step DNS troubleshooting.
If none of these steps get your guest in, contact support with your event link and the guest's email so we can take a look. It also helps to mention which screen they're seeing — "not on the list," "event is full," or a sign-in loop — so we can zero in faster.
