Keeping your event's content safe
Every guest photo, post, and guestbook note is automatically screened. Here's how flagged content review works, how to block a repeat offender, and what to do if your event is temporarily hidden.
Every guest photo, post, and guestbook note is automatically screened. Here's how flagged content review works, how to block a repeat offender, and what to do if your event is temporarily hidden.
The moment a guest posts a photo, a feed message, or a guestbook note, it's automatically screened in the background — no setup required, and it's on for every event. Clean content behaves exactly as you'd expect: photos publish once they clear the check, and feed posts and guestbook notes go up instantly, since normal chatter should never feel delayed. If something looks borderline, it stays up but gets flagged for you to take a look when you have a moment. If something is clearly severe, it's hidden right away, before it can bother anyone — and it lands in your Flagged Content queue so you can confirm the call.
Anything that gets flagged shows up on your event's Flagged Content page. Open your event and open More → Content to review. Your overview also highlights contributions that need attention.
The page has three tabs:
| Tab | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Needs review | Borderline or severe content waiting on your decision |
| Auto-hidden | Severe content that's already been hidden automatically, pending your review |
| Resolved | Items you've already made a call on |
Each item shows a short preview — the photo, the message, or the note — along with who posted it and, where we can tell, why it was flagged. From there you have three actions:
If one guest keeps posting things you'd rather not deal with, you can block them from your Guest List. Open the guest's row, and use Block guest from their menu.
Blocking doesn't touch their RSVP or remove them from your event — they're still invited, still on the list, still able to see everything they could before. It only means that anything new they post from now on — a photo, a feed message, a guestbook note — is automatically held for your review first, no matter what the screening says about it.
Changed your mind, or blocked the wrong person? Unblock them from the same menu at any time, and their posts go back to being screened normally.
Every so often, it's not a guest's content that gets flagged — it's something you wrote yourself: your event's name, its description, page text, or your cover image. If any of that comes back as severe, your event's public page is temporarily hidden until it's sorted out.
You'll know right away — a clear banner appears at the top of your event dashboard explaining what happened, with direct links to fix it.
To get your event public again:
It tells you what triggered the hold — your event details, or something on the page itself.
Follow the link to Event page → Details & access or the Page Builder and update whatever was flagged — rewrite the text, or swap the image.
As soon as the flagged content is changed, your event automatically becomes public again. There's no button to press or approval to wait for.
Does screening slow down my guests? No. Photos are held only until they clear the check (usually moments), and feed posts and guestbook notes appear instantly either way. Nobody has to wait around to share something.
Can I turn screening off? No — it runs on every event to keep things safe for everyone, and there's no setting to disable it. The good news is that it's invisible when everything's fine, which is almost always.
Who can see content that's been flagged or hidden? Only you and your co-planners, in the Flagged Content queue. Your other guests never see something that's been auto-hidden or removed.
What if it flags something that's actually fine? That happens sometimes — it's an automatic first pass, not a final word. Just hit Keep on the Flagged Content page and it's restored immediately, exactly as your guest posted it.
