Albums are curated photo and video collections for your event. You pick the photos, arrange them, and each album gets its own shareable page that guests can browse. You can also embed an album right on your event page.
Albums do more than just show off your own photos, though. You can invite your guests to add their snapshots from their phones, review everything before it goes public, and put the whole stream up on a big screen at the party — all from one place.
A short guided setup makes your album. Start it from More → Photos → Start your photo album, from New album on your albums page, or from the Collect your guests’ photos step on your Overview once your invitations are out.
We suggest Event photos or Our photos. Change it to anything you like, and add a description if you want one above the photos.
A short animation shows what your guests will see. Then choose how they upload:
And which photos wait for you:
For a collecting album you get its QR code (download it as a PNG or print a sheet of table cards), the upload link to copy into your invitation message, and the live wall to put on a screen during the event. For a showing album, select Add your first photos.
Nothing is created until you finish the last choice, so leaving halfway leaves nothing behind. New albums are Guests Only; you can make one Public on its page, and you can change every other choice later in the album’s settings.
On the album's page, select Add photos, pick the photos and videos you want, then select Add selected. The same photo can appear in several albums without using extra storage.
You can also go the other way: from Your uploads, open any photo's ⋯ menu and choose Add to album — a checkmark shows the albums it's already in.
Once an album has items in it, you can arrange them however you like:
Photos guests have uploaded that are still waiting for review appear in the grid too, so you can place them — but each one is dimmed and marked Waiting for review, and guests cannot see it until you approve it. The count under the grid says so (for example Showing 6 of 6 · 2 waiting for review), and the album's card in the list counts only what guests can see.
New photos join the end of the album, so on a big album they're not on the first screen. When you add photos you'll see “50 items added to the end of the album” with a Show them button that jumps the grid straight there — however far down they landed.
Big albums load in batches. Under the grid you'll see Showing 60 of 375 and a Load more photos button — more also loads on its own as you scroll, and your place in the grid is kept when you close a photo you were editing.
This is where albums get fun. Instead of chasing people for their photos after the event, you can let guests upload straight into an album — from the dance floor, in real time. Open the Collect photos from guests panel on the album's page and turn on the settings you want.
Enable uploads for the album. Rendezvous creates a private, unguessable upload link and a matching QR code you can print, project, or drop on a table card.
Choose whether to allow anonymous uploads. With it on, anyone who scans the code can add a photo with just their name, which is perfect for a party. With it off, guests sign in first, so every upload has a name you know.
Under Which photos wait for you, pick Everything (the default: every guest upload waits for your approval), Only guests not on your list (guests on your list who signed in appear straight away, everyone else waits), or Nothing (photos appear after the automatic safety check). A change only applies to new uploads: photos already waiting for you keep waiting until you decide.
When a guest scans the QR code, they land on a themed, mobile-friendly upload page at slug.rendez.us/contribute/[code] where they can pick photos from their camera roll or snap a new one. Uploads are rate-limited and checked for safe file types automatically.
Guest photos that wait for you land in a Waiting for your review queue on the album's page. The queue is collapsible, so it stays out of your way once you've caught up — expand it whenever new uploads come in. Select any pending item to open it in a full-size review modal, where you can see the whole photo (not just a thumbnail) and Approve or Reject it right there. Approved items join the album; rejected ones are hidden and never shown to guests. A rejected photo's direct link also stops working, so anyone who saved the link before you rejected it can no longer open it.
You don't have to open every album to find new uploads: the Photos page (More → Photos) says how many are waiting for review — for example 4 photos waiting for review — and links to each album that has some. It shows nothing once you've caught up.
Want a heads-up when guests start contributing? When an upload is approved, event managers get an in-app notification (the bell in your dashboard). A big batch of photos is grouped into a single notification, so a 50-photo drop won't flood you. See Activity notifications for how these alerts work.
The live photo wall turns an album into a full-screen slideshow for a projector or TV at your venue — and it updates itself as new photos come in. It's the centerpiece of a great party album.
From the album's page, select Present live. It opens a full-bleed screen built for a venue display, showing approved photos only and refreshing every few seconds.
Open the controls (the gear icon) and choose a mode:
In the same controls you can set:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Columns | How many columns the wall uses (2 to 6); compact phone grids use two |
| Speed | Photo pace or scroll rate; shown only when it affects the current view |
| Background | A curated dark color, white, or black to match your venue (defaults to a near-black "Charcoal") |
Use Pause to hold a moment, the arrows to move between slides, and Fullscreen to fill your projector or TV. Your display choices are remembered on that screen.
Every album has its own standalone page at:
slug.rendez.us/media-gallery/album-slug
This page shows the full album with:
Share the page URL directly, or let guests find it through the embedded section on your event page.
You can drop an album section right into your event page:
In the page builder, select Add Section and choose Photo Gallery.
In the section settings, choose which album to display.
Choose the layout (grid or masonry), the number of columns, and how many photos to show inline (up to 100). Guests select View all to open the full album. Columns and the block's Section width can each take a different value on tablet and phone — see Different values on tablet and phone.
Under Photos the settings list one row per tile, in the order they'll appear. Each row says what that tile will show:
Next photo from the album — the tile follows your album order. This is the default, and most tiles should stay this way.
A photo you pinned — select Pin and the picker shows the photos in this block's own album, in the album's order. A tile can only hold a photo that's in the album the block shows, so that's all you're offered. One click assigns the photo and closes the picker. That tile then shows that photo no matter how the album is reordered; the remaining tiles carry on filling from the album, skipping anything you've pinned.
Need a photo that isn't in the album yet? Upload it from that same picker — it's added to this album as well as pinned to the tile.
Select Clear to hand a tile back to the album. If you lower Max items below a tile you pinned, the photo isn't thrown away — the panel keeps it, tells you it's out of view, and lets you clear it or raise the count.
The Image Grid section is the other way to put photos on your event page — a band of images you choose directly, rather than a window on an album. Its tiles open full-screen when a guest selects one, the same as an album does.
If the band is decoration rather than an album, turn Click to enlarge off in the section settings and the tiles become plain images. A tile you gave a link of its own always follows that link instead of opening.
After the party, you'll want the photos off the cloud and into your own keeping. On the album's page, open Album settings & more and select Download all photos to get a single ZIP of that album's images — named after the album (for example reception-photos.zip). The download bundles approved photos only, so nothing unscreened slips in, and it sticks to images (videos aren't included). The button is greyed out with "No approved photos to download yet" until there's something to grab.
The best part of a shared album is everyone walking away with the photos — so you can hand your guests the same approved-only bundle you get, either a single photo or the whole album as a ZIP. It's off until you turn it on, and it's controlled per album, so you decide album by album.
On the album's page, open Album settings & more and use the Download off / Guests can download menu. New albums start on Download off.
Choose Guests can download and the save buttons appear for guests: one per photo in the lightbox, plus Download all photos on the album page. Leave it off and the album stays view-only for guests — they can browse it on the album page and the event page, but nothing is downloadable. Either way the photos are always yours to download from the dashboard; the setting only affects guests.
The album only earns its keep if guests come back to see it. Rendezvous closes that loop for you from both ends.
On the event page, once an album has approved photos, guests see a gentle reveal pointing them to the pictures — a little "your photos are ready" moment that draws them back in without you lifting a finger.
On your side, the album's page has a Share this album card with a one-tap Draft a message button. Press it and Rendezvous drafts the post-event recap broadcast for you — a warm, on-brand message inviting everyone who came to open the album, relive the day, and add any shots of their own. It opens in the Messages composer as a normal draft, so you review the copy, choose who receives it, and send it (or, on Premium, schedule it) when you're ready. Nothing goes out until you say so.
If your guests have already been posting photos to the event feed, you don't have to re-collect them. You can copy feed photos and videos straight into an album with Add to album in the post's menu. The copied media becomes its own album item (so removing it from the album never touches the original feed post) and lands approved, ready to show. Each copy counts toward your event's photo storage, just like an upload; if the storage fills up partway, the copying stops there and tells you.
