Guestbook & wish wall

The guestbook is a wish wall for your event page. Guests leave a short note — their name and a message — and it appears as a warm, scrapbook-style wall of wishes for everyone to read. It's the digital version of the book by the door: heartfelt messages your guests can write before the day and look back on long after it.
You add it like any other section, and you can also put the whole thing up on a full-screen live wall at the venue, so the wishes scroll by on the big screen as people sign.
Open your event, go to Event page, and choose Customize page.
Select Add section and choose Guestbook. It drops in with a friendly heading and an invitation to leave a note — both of which you can rewrite.
In the section settings you can set the heading, the prompt (the line that invites guests to write, like "Leave us a note — a wish, a memory, a few warm words for the day"), and the button label that opens the note composer.
When the section is live, any signed-in guest sees the invitation and a leave a note button. They write their name and a message, and it joins the wall.
You don't have to hope guests find the guestbook on their own. When someone responds Going or Maybe, a gentle, skippable prompt appears right in their RSVP confirmation — "While you're here — would you leave the hosts a note?" — with a Leave a wish button that whisks them straight to the guestbook and opens the composer. It's the easiest way to fill the wall before the day, while you have their attention.
This nudge only shows when your page actually has a guestbook section and the guest is signed in, so it never points to a section that isn't there.
By default, notes appear on the wall the moment a guest writes them — lively and immediate. If you'd rather read each one first, the section has a Require approval setting.
Publish your page after changing this setting. Guests continue to use the last published setting while you edit a draft.
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Instant (approval off — the default) | A guest's note appears on the wall as soon as they save it |
| Approval-first (approval on) | A guest's note waits until you approve it before anyone else sees it |
Open More → Guestbook in your event dashboard to review notes. Filter by Awaiting review, On the wall, or Hidden, and use Show more notes to reach older messages. The review count includes notes beyond the current page.
You're always in control of what's on the wall. As the host you can:
Guests can delete their own notes; you and your co-planners can act on any note. Whatever the setting, the public wall and the live venue wall only ever show approved notes — a hidden or pending note is never displayed to your guests.
Like photo albums and polls, the guestbook has a full-screen live wall built for a projector or TV at the venue. Notes that fit stay still and readable. Longer columns drift up the screen, with a Pause presentation control when you want more reading time. Phones use a single scrollable column. The wall updates itself as approved notes come in, and respects reduced-motion preferences.
Open More → Guestbook on the venue device, then choose Open live wall. This carries your sign-in to the event so a private event remains accessible on that device.
The wall wears your event’s theme, shows approved notes only, and refreshes on its own as guests sign.
The wall carries a scan-to-sign QR code that points back at your event page, so anyone watching can scan, leave a note, and see their wish appear on the big screen moments later.
